SOUTH AFRICA: TWO MEN ARRESTED OVER THE BURGLARY AT THE OFFICE OF CHIEF JUSTICE
On Saturday morning,Fifteen computers were stolen from the office of Chief Justice,in a robbery which fuelled speculation that security agents were trying to intimidate judges who had given damning rulings against President Jacob Zuma and his government.
Their lawyer Sammy Mahlangu claim that the two men Given Msimango 20,and Bigboy Jose 37 who were arrested over the burglary at the office of Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng deny being involved in the crime.
They appeared in court today, but the lawyer Mahlangu said the charge sheet made no mention of the theft.He added that,the charges against them relate to firearms and no mention was made in the media about any firearms having been stolen at the chief justice’s office. On this basis they were not linked to the crimes. »So a third accused was released without being charged for them.
